Name: Community Information Night: San Juan Unified's Upcoming History/Social Science Materials Adoption
Date: April 17, 2018
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PDT
Event Description:
The San Juan Unified School District is beginning a process to adopt new instructional materials for history/social science in grades K-8, high school world history, and high school United States history. New materials will be piloted in classrooms in the 2018-2019 school year, with district-wide use in 2019-2020. To begin the lengthy process, the professional learning and curriculum department is hosting a community information night to inform all of our stakeholders about important content changes in all grade levels. These changes will impact all district classrooms where history/social science is taught. During the event, attendees will also learn how they might engage in the process so that their voices are part of the decision-making.
